I love those XK wheels on that car, really modernizes it...the XJS has aged pretty gracefully anyway, but those wheels look great.

And it’s funny to see it next to an Avalon and have it look dwarfed. My XJ12 looks like a pretty big car right up until I park my P71 next to it, then it looks like a pencil...long and narrow. It took me a while to figure out how to say that without getting too phallic, but you know what, I think I nailed it.

Can’t remember the legit names for these, but the “roof fins” have been awesome looking on every car. From the Dodge Charger, to Stingray Corvettes, I love these damn things.

it is indeed. assuming youre not over 6ft tall (see the size comparison photo).

also assuming its not >90F outside, and youre not sitting in traffic, in which case, be sure to hydrate sufficiently.

Weren’t these put on when Jag wanted the xjs to be mid engined, but when they changed their minds, they didn’t want to redesign them or something?

But yeah, they look great, and blind spots be damned, more cars need them.

(This is also one of the cleanest XJSs I’ve seen in a long time, and it looks great)

I have no idea, the depth of my interest in Jaguars is the buttresses hahahaha. New F type is pretty cool, but thats about it for me

yes, youre right about the buttresses and the mid-engine initial design.

and thanks! :) i actually just did a moderate cleaning prior to the photos. many XJS owners are frustrated with them when they’re ready to sell them, and therefore post photos of them in a dirty/grimy state. the bright sun does a good job with the many nicks in the paintwork. she actually could use a respray.

XJR wheels. :) they’re a pain to find. but finding aftermarkets for a jaguar is a huge pain for the fitment, and/or really expensive, or just cheap looking. thanks for the compliment.

and nice work with the language ;)
